The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.

SASSA might be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency reported it truly is alarmed about the significant number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a large here amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The services level designed for intervention activities a large influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra means to help the servicing of all prospects and increase access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
